Shop Helper/General Laborer

Located in Conroe, TX

Salary: $16-$20/hr

Shop Helper/General Laborer- $16-$20 DOE/Hr

 

A local company in Conroe is searching for a shop helper to assist in the company’s daily operations. This is a temp-hire position in a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a shop. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 AM-8 PM (schedule is flexible)

 

 

Summary of essential job functions:

• Assist shop employees with daily tasks and projects.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist with basic shop maintenance and general labor duties.
• Help prepare materials, tools, and equipment for jobs.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and shop personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous shop, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
• Must have experience using hand and power tools.
• Must be able to read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment (no A/C or heating).
• Must be willing and available to work overtime as needed.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
