Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals – Southeast Phoenix is hiring an experienced Metal Parts Assembler for an established precision metal manufacturing company in Tempe, AZ.

This position involves assembling, handling, and preparing metal parts for the plating process. The work requires attention to detail, careful handling of materials, and the ability to follow detailed production instructions.

A minimum of one year of hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is required. This is not an entry-level position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare metal parts for plating and production.

• Follow written instructions, diagrams, and work orders.

• Position, align, and secure metal parts as instructed.

• Use hand tools and production equipment as needed.

• Handle parts carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or damage.

• Inspect parts for defects, missing pieces, or improper placement.

• Check completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.

• Report damaged parts, equipment problems, or production errors.

• Complete basic production paperwork and computer entries.

• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality.

• Keep the work area clean and follow safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience working with metal parts or similar manufactured products.

• Ability to use hand tools and basic production equipment.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and production orders.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.

• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to handle detailed parts.

• Basic math and computer skills.

• Ability to work accurately while meeting production goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in metal manufacturing, plating, or metal finishing.

• Experience preparing or positioning metal parts for production.

• Familiarity with aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper, or similar metals.

• Experience inspecting parts for scratches, damage, or quality issues.

• Ability to read basic blueprints or technical drawings.

• Experience working in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Perform repeated hand and arm movements.

• Handle metal parts, tools, and production materials.

• Lift and move materials within the position's physical requirements.

• Work in a manufacturing environment with machinery and equipment noise.

• Wear required personal protective equipment.

• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean workstation.
