CNC Machinist (Intermediate)

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a manufacturing team responsible for producing precision machined components. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery while ensuring all parts meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and experienced with CNC mills, lathes, and blueprint interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Measure and inspect parts during and after production to ensure tolerance requirements are met.
• Set up, operate, adjust, and maintain CNC machine tools and fixtures.
• Make program adjustments, compensate for tool wear, and perform secondary machining operations as needed.
• Use precision measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and product quality.
• Assist team members and support production goals as needed.
• Complete additional duties assigned by management.
• Work effectively with limited supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience operating and setting up CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
• Haas CNC experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of conventional machining practices and machine tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNC Machinist Certificate preferred.
• Associate degree or technical school training is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands for operating machinery and measuring equipment.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and machine shop environment.
• Exposure to machinery, noise, oils, and other industrial conditions.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Cut-resistant gloves as needed
• Appropriate shop attire and PPE
