Structural Welder

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $38-$41/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking an experienced Structural Welder to join their fabrication team.

Structural Welder Highlights:

• Read IFC drawings and fabricate structural steel, including skids, ladders, platforms, and tanks
• Fit and weld carbon and chrome steel using MCAW, SMAW, and FCAW processes
• Work independently or as part of a team
• Keep your work area clean and organized, and help others do the same
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use required PPE
• Perform additional duties as required

Requirements:

• 3+ years of structural steel welding and fabrication experience
• Strong structural steel fitting skills
• Experience with MCAW, SMAW, and FCAW processes
• Ability to read IFC drawings
• Must pass a 3F/4F in-position weld test
• CWB FCAW all-position ticket, or able to test for it (preferred)
• Safety-focused, with good communication skills and the ability to follow direction
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Reliable and hardworking

Hours & Wage:

• Monday–Thursday, 4 x 10-hour shifts
• 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
• $38-$41/hour
• Overtime available; weekends and longer days may be needed on short notice
• Company may cover the CWB ticket for long-term employees
