Welder

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $35-$38/hr

An Edmonton client is seeking a reliable Welder to join their team.

Welder Highlights:

• Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum, with some stick welding as needed
• Weld and repair trench boxes and panels ranging from 3 to 12 feet, plus some equipment repairs
• Weld 1/4" to 3/8" material, mostly in the flat position (no fitting required)
• Provide yard support, including hydraulic testing: setting equipment in stands, pumping it up, and checking for leaks
• Cross-train and pitch in on other yard and shop tasks where needed
• Keep a safe, clean work area and use required PPE
• Perform additional duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous MIG welding experience on steel
• 1–2 years of aluminum MIG welding experience (spool gun / push-pull)
• Stick welding experience is an asset
• Farm, equipment repair, or hands-on mechanical background is an asset
• Hydraulics exposure is an asset
• CWB tickets are not required
• Apprentices welcome; a journeyperson on site can sign off on apprenticeship hours
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Willing to learn, cross-train, and pitch in where needed
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious

Hours & Wage:

• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• $35.00–$38.00/hour, depending on experience
• Overtime paid at 1.5x after 8 hours per day
• No travel; shop-based
• Long-term opportunity with a path to permanent hire

Start Date: Mid-November
