About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a full-time Packaging and Material Handling Associate (12-Hour Days, 2 Days On / 2 Days Off) for an active packaging facility in St. Louis, MO (63115).

This position offers a steady 12-hour day schedule on a 2-days-on / 2-days-off rotation with fully paid shift breaks and paid training. In this role, you will work alongside automated conveyor systems to assemble shipping containers, pack products, monitor line flow, and stage materials for distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Container Assembly & Line Feeding: Construct cardboard packaging and stage items along active conveyor lines for automated loading systems.

• Manual Packaging & Sorting: Pack finished goods into shipping containers and manage product output coming off production lines.

• Line Monitoring & Flow Control: Oversee conveyor operations to maintain steady product movement, clear minor line stoppages, and report operational issues to supervisors.

• Quality Assurance Inspection: Perform visual quality checks on containers, product labeling, and packaging integrity prior to palletizing.

• Workstation Sanitation & Safety: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to maintain a safe production floor.

What you need

• Communication & Safety Awareness: Ability to understand and follow workplace safety protocols, equipment signage, and standard operational procedures.

• Required Equipment: Steel-toed boots required for access to the production floor.

• Environment Adaptability: Comfort working in an active industrial facility with automated machinery and standard operational noise (protective equipment provided).

• Schedule Availability: Ability to remain on-site for the duration of the scheduled 12-hour shift (on-the-clock paid schedule).

• Essential Physical Functions: Ability to remain standing, perform repetitive packaging tasks, bend, and move materials throughout a 12-hour shift (with or without reasonable accommodation).

• Safety & Reliability: Dependable attendance record, daily punctuality, safety focus, and reliable transportation to St. Louis, MO 63115.

• Screening Requirements: Willingness to complete standard pre-employment background checks and skill assessments.
