We are seeking an Experienced Assembly Technician for our partnered client in Norwood, MA. 

Hours: 7am - 3:30pm (M-F)

Pay Rate: $30 - $35/hr

Job Duties:

• Production- the primary responsibility will be production work on probes. This will
  include prep work (checking, modifying, cleaning and testing parts as necessary),
  assembling parts and final QC testing and documentation.
• Lab maintenance- along with the other users of the lab, employee will be responsible for
  upkeep of the lab. This will include clean-ups, as well as ordering lab supplies and
  inventory parts. The production parts need to be organized, maintained and inventoried
  periodically.

REQUIREMENTS:

Core Skills:

• Good dexterity- ability to work with small items.
• Ability to follow build sheets, assembly diagrams and written procedures.
• Organized and fastidious- keeping the process clean and well-controlled avoids
  introducing early problems that cascade into larger issues.
• Problem solving- ability to troubleshoot when assemblies don’t meet the QC
  standards.
• Documentation- careful attention to quantitatively characterizing the products.

Advanced skills:

• Technical background- some knowledge of chemistry, physics or optical/mechanical
  engineering is a plus.
• CAD familiarity- ability to read a 2D drawing.
• Machining- ability to modify parts, as well as making prototypes and one-offs.
