Equipment Maintenance Technician

An Edmonton client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform servicing, preventative maintenance, certifications, assembly, and repairs on a variety of industrial tools and equipment.

Equipment Maintenance Technician Highlights:

• Servicing & Preventative Maintenance:

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and servicing on hydraulic tensioning equipment, torque tools, pneumatic and battery-powered torque guns, heat exchangers, wheel jacks, cylinders, gearboxes, and other equipment.

  • Implement preventative maintenance procedures to minimize breakdowns, maintain operational efficiency, and extend equipment lifespan.

• Certifying & Recertifying Assets:

  • Perform certifications and recertifications of company and customer equipment, including torque guns and hydraulic tools.

  • Ensure equipment meets applicable industry standards and safety requirements.

  • Maintain certification records to track equipment compliance and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Equipment Assembly & Repair:

  • Assemble, prepare, and fine-tune equipment according to specific assembly instructions.

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including portable machining tools, bevelers, preparation machines, and hydraulic tensioning tools.

  • Read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities.

• Ability to perform equipment maintenance, assembly, and repairs.

• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment safety.

• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance and certification records.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet performance targets.

Hours & Wage:

• Wage: $25–$26 per hour
