Pay Range: $20-$23/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Jockey Truck Driver to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Jockey Driver will be responsible for moving trailers within our yard, positioning equipment at loading docks, and ensuring efficient yard operations. This role requires a valid CDL and the ability to operate yard tractors safely in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Move and position trailers between loading docks, parking areas, and designated yard locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of jockey trucks and trailers.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer locations and movements.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatchers, and management.
• Ensure trailers are properly secured and docked.
• Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations.
• Report equipment issues, damage, or safety concerns immediately.
• Assist with general yard organization and traffic flow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A).
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a yard tractor/jockey truck.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to bend, climb, and perform physical activities as required.

Preferred

• Previous yard jockey, terminal, warehouse, or logistics experience.
• Experience working with trailers and warehouse loading operations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb in and out of equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
