We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Production Planner to support plant operations, coordinate production schedules, and ensure customer expectations are met. The ideal candidate has strong communication and computer skills, enjoys working with multiple departments, and is passionate about continuous improvement.
Develop monthly plant production plans and overtime projections.
Forecast work-in-process (WIP) and subcomponent quantities.
Assist with materials management, production planning, and inventory control.
Develop and maintain daily shop floor production schedules.
Coordinate materials, work orders, machine priorities, changeover schedules, and staffing requirements to keep production running smoothly.
Manage the Master Production Plan within the MRP system.
Balance production workloads with planned capacity.
Monitor and support raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory goals.
Analyze production data to support business decisions and improve operations.
Work closely with Customer Service Representatives (CSR) and Sales to improve on-time customer deliveries.
Assist with customer communications regarding production planning and delivery schedules.
Coordinate special requests and modified production schedules with the Sales team.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Working knowledge of MRP systems preferred.
Excellent communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
Flexibility to work an adaptable schedule as needed.
Self-motivated with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
