Lab Technician

 

Express Employment Professionals – St. Paul, MN is assisting a small recycling company to fill a Lab Technician positions on their team. Position is located in the South metro.

 

Pay: $20 – 25/hour DOE

 

Schedule:   1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Collect and prepare metal, alloy, and material samples for testing and analysis.
  • Perform laboratory testing using designated equipment and established procedures.
  • Analyze and record test results accurately while maintaining detailed laboratory records.
  • Conduct chemical and physical property testing on incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, environmental regulations, and safety policies.
  • Prepare reports and communicate findings to management and operational teams.
  • Assist with investigations related to material quality concerns and customer specifications.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and inventory of supplies.
  • Follow all OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and laboratory processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

  • Laboratory and industrial recycling facility setting.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • Safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to safety procedures and policies.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to work in both office and industrial environments.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
