CDL Class B Driver | $25/Hour | Day Shift

We are hiring a reliable, safety-focused CDL Class B Driver to deliver building materials, assist customers, and support daily lumberyard operations. This is a long-term opportunity with a family-oriented company that values dependable employees and offers room for advancement.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Additional Hours: Every other Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Typical Workweek: Approximately 45 to 50 hours
Location: Mahomet, Illinois

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial Class B vehicle
• Deliver lumber and building materials to customers and jobsite locations
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and inventory documentation
• Operate forklifts, boom trucks, or Moffett forklifts as required
• Provide professional and courteous customer service
• Assist with lumberyard and warehouse duties as needed
• Follow all traffic laws, DOT requirements, OSHA standards, and company safety procedures
• Keep the vehicle, equipment, and work areas clean and organized

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license with air-brake qualification
• Previous commercial driving experience
• Clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR review
• Must meet applicable insurance requirements
• Strong safety-first mindset and dependable work history
• Good time-management and organizational skills
• Professional attitude and strong customer-service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous lumberyard or building-material experience is a plus, but not required
• Forklift experience is preferred, but company training and certification may be provided
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 100 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday
• Ability to safely climb into and out of commercial vehicles and equipment
• Ability to perform routine physical work in changing weather conditions
