Job Title: IT Help Desk Support Technician
City and State: Crystal Lake, IL
Pay Rate: $25.00-$30.00/hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Employment Type: Temporary (3+ Months)
Summary:
Our client is seeking a temporary IT Help Desk Support Technician for an assignment expected to last 3+ months. This individual will provide technical support to employees across the organization, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting network and communication systems, and ensuring technology-related requests are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and information systems issues for end users.
- Install, upgrade, patch, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Support and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, VoIP phones, and other technology equipment.
- Assist with basic network support, including switches, routers, wireless networking, and connectivity issues.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to support, configure, and maintain hardware and software solutions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and software support.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including switches, routers, wireless networking, and TCP/IP.
- Experience supporting VoIP phone systems, mobile devices, and end-user technology.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
