Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I for a growing manufacturing facility in Temperance, MI. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for candidates with mechanical aptitude and experience working with production equipment in the food/beverage industry.

Pay

  • $29.00 per hour
  • Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals

Schedule

  • Monday through Thursday
  • Overtime available on Fridays/weekends as needed

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for machine setup, changeovers, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with equipment repairs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform machine setups and changeovers
  • Troubleshoot and assist with equipment repairs
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
  • Diagnose production equipment issues
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Assist with PLC-related troubleshooting and equipment operation
  • Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
  • Communicate equipment issues and repair progress with leadership
  • Follow all regulatory and company safety requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Mechanical maintenance or machine repair experience preferred
  • Experience with maintenance in the food/beverage industry
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and production equipment
