Now Hiring: Yard Assistant

A growing metal recycling company in Springfield is looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on position that offers steady work, opportunities to learn new skills, and room for advancement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sort and process scrap metal and recyclable materials
• Assist customers and direct traffic within the yard
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other equipment (training available)
• Maintain a clean and organized yard
• Identify and separate various types of metals
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Perform general labor and facility maintenance duties

Qualifications:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift or equipment experience is a plus but not required
• Mechanical aptitude is helpful
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
