Responsibilities

Manufacturing Production Assistant / Shop Helper

Production Support

Assist machinists, machine operators, laser operators, and production personnel with daily manufacturing activities
Support efficient shop operations through general labor and production tasks
Load and unload materials, parts, and supplies as directed
Move raw materials, work-in-process components, and finished products throughout the facility
Prepare materials and components for machining and secondary operations
Follow job travelers, work instructions, and supervisor directions accurately

Part Preparation & Finishing

Manufacturing Production Assistant / Shop Helper

Perform basic assembly and part preparation tasks
Sort, count, organize, and identify manufactured parts according to production requirements
Perform finishing operations including:
- Deburring
- Filing
- Sanding
- Edge breaking
- Surface preparation
- Cleaning
- Basic polishing
Inspect parts for visible defects, damage, scratches, or incomplete finishing
Handle parts carefully to prevent dents, scratches, and material damage

Machine & Shop Support

Manufacturing Production Assistant / Shop Helper

Assist CNC Machinists and Laser Operators with non-technical production tasks
Load and unload parts from equipment when trained and authorized
Support machine setups by preparing materials and tooling components
Perform basic machine cleaning and housekeeping duties
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist with inventory organization and material staging

Qualifications

Manufacturing Production Assistant / Shop Helper

Preferred (Not Required)

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, machine shop, production, or industrial experience
Experience using hand tools and measuring devices
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
