Hotel Night Auditor

Position Summary:

The Night Auditor is responsible for providing excellent guest service during overnight hours while performing front desk duties and completing daily accounting and reporting tasks. This entry-level position combines customer service, basic bookkeeping, and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth hotel operations overnight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests, complete check-ins and check-outs, and assist with guest requests.
• Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries in a professional manner.
• Process reservations, cancellations, and room assignments.
• Reconcile daily hotel transactions and prepare end-of-day reports.
• Balance cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
• Audit guest accounts to ensure accuracy of charges and payments.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork.
• Monitor hotel security and report any unusual activity.
• Address guest concerns and escalate issues to management when needed.
• Keep the front desk and lobby area clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or cashier experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of luggage or hotel supplies up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Schedule:

• Training several days from 3;00 PM to 11:00 PM then shift would be 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekends and holidays will be required
