Material Handler- Cherry Picker & Forklift

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

This position plays an important role in the daily movement, handling, storage, packaging, and distribution of materials, products, and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, a strong focus on workplace safety, and experience operating material handling equipment, including cherry pickers and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical and administrative duties related to shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing equipment, materials, merchandise, and related items.
• Operate standard warehouse material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, in a safe and accident-free manner.
• Load and unload trucks, conveyors, and other transportation equipment manually or with the assistance of material handling devices.
• Transport equipment, supplies, products, and materials between departments, workstations, and locations using motor vehicles, hand trucks, tote boxes, and other material handling equipment.
• Count, weigh, identify, store, mark, and tag items to ensure proper identification and organization.
• Fill orders and material requisitions while maintaining accurate records of items issued and received.
• Verify materials against vendor invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and other applicable documents.
• Maintain records of damaged or defective items, quantity and weight discrepancies, and shipment details, including dates, times, quantities, sources, and destinations.
• Pick, wrap, and package products in boxes, cartons, and other containers in preparation for shipment.
• Operate standard or specially designed equipment to place or arrange products into cartons, bottles, boxes, and other containers.
• Operate labeling, weighing, and sealing machines.
• Conduct or assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Equipment Experience

• Cherry picker experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Pallet jack and other standard warehouse material handling equipment.
