CNC Swiss Setup Operator (Night Shift)

Are you an experienced Swiss CNC Setup Operator looking for a stable night shift opportunity with a growing aerospace manufacturer?

 

Our client, a leading aerospace machining company in Mississauga is seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Setup Operator to join their night shift team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can independently set up and run Swiss-style CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Independently set up, adjust, and operate Swiss-type CNC lathes
• Perform tool changes, offsets, guide bushing adjustments, and bar feeder setups
• Run multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining production efficiency and quality
• Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues as they arise
• Complete production and inspection documentation through ERP systems
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain cutting fluid levels
• Deburr, clean, package, and label finished parts as required
• Ensure quality standards and production targets are consistently achieved

 

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Swiss CNC lathe setup experience
• Proven experience independently setting up Swiss machines
• Hands-on experience with Tornos Swiss machines preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Solid understanding of tooling, offsets, guide bushings, and machine troubleshooting
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Commitment to a permanent night shift schedule
