Shipping Associate / Forklift Operator

Location: Chandler, AZ

Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Pay: Competitive hourly rate + $1.00 increase upon Avnet forklift certification

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping Associate to join our distribution team. This role is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling. Candidates with prior forklift and warehouse equipment experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ship orders within established timelines and complete all required documentation.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Store and organize inventory within the warehouse.
• Identify and report defective or damaged products.
• Ensure shipping labels, packing slips, and related documentation are accurate and properly processed.
• Communicate fulfillment issues, inventory discrepancies, or operational concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist with inventory control and stock handling activities as needed.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift and material handling equipment experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior warehouse, distribution center, shipping, receiving, or order fulfillment experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic computer and documentation skills preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without assistance.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
• May be required to meet visual inspection standards for quality checks.

Additional Information

• Overtime is frequently available and may be required based on business needs.
• Forklift certification may be required and provided through Avnet.
• Employees who successfully obtain Avnet forklift certification will receive a $1.00 pay increase.
