We are hiring an experienced Professional Engineer (PE) to join our client's team.
Candidates may come from a Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering background, provided they hold an active Professional Engineer license and have relevant industry experience.

In addition to engineering responsibilities, this role will serve as a key representative of the company within the local business community, assisting with networking, relationship building, and business development initiatives.

What You'll Do:
✅ Design, develop, and evaluate engineering projects from concept through completion
✅ Perform engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and technical analyses
✅ Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, plans, specifications, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
✅ Develop and revise drawings using AutoCAD and other industry-standard design software
✅ Collaborate with project managers, technicians, contractors, and clients to ensure project success
✅ Resolve technical issues during design, construction, testing, and field implementation
✅ Lead project phases, track schedules, and help mentor junior engineers and technical staff
✅ Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and quality standards
✅ Attend local Chamber of Commerce events and networking functions
✅ Support client development efforts and help identify new business opportunities

Qualifications:
✔ Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in any state with the ability to obtain Alabama licensure
✔ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline
✔ Proven engineering experience in project design, execution, and management
✔ Strong proficiency with AutoCAD (required)
✔ Experience with software such as Revit and Bluebeam is a plus
✔ Knowledge of construction estimating, project scheduling, permitting, and technical writing
✔ Direct project management experience
✔ Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
✔ Ability to represent the company professionally in business and community settings
