Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Inventory Control Clerk / Inventory Specialist for a warehouse and distribution facility in McCook, IL.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with experience in inventory management, cycle counting, warehouse inventory systems, and forklift operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a stable, full-time warehouse position with long-term growth potential.

Candidates with experience as an Inventory Clerk, Inventory Control Specialist, Inventory Associate, Warehouse Inventory Coordinator, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, or Cycle Counter are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

Perform daily inventory cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure accurate stock levels.
Use SAP, ERP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and update records.
Operate Reach Truck and Cherry Picker forklifts to access and organize warehouse inventory.
Receive, verify, and process inventory using part numbers, purchase orders, and inventory records.
Maintain accurate inventory data using Microsoft Excel and warehouse software.
Assist with inventory adjustments, stock transfers, and warehouse organization.
Communicate with warehouse supervisors, shipping and receiving teams, and other departments.
Ensure proper inventory locations and accurate product tracking throughout the warehouse.

Job Requirements

Previous warehouse inventory or inventory control experience required.
Experience with cycle counting, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation.
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, ERP, or WMS inventory software preferred.
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
Reach Truck and Cherry Picker forklift experience preferred.
Experience with RF scanners and warehouse inventory tracking.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
