Line Cook

Located in Key Largo, FL

Salary: 16-20/HR

 

Position Summary

We are seeking dependable, hardworking Line Cooks to join the kitchen team at a restaurant group here in the keys area. The ideal candidates will have previous kitchen experience, a passion for preparing quality food, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.

• Set up and stock kitchen stations before service.

• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.

• Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and properly stocked.

• Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and servers to ensure timely food preparation.

• Monitor food inventory and communicate when supplies are running low.

• Assist with food preparation, chopping, portioning, and other kitchen duties.

• Properly store ingredients and label food according to safety guidelines.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook preferred.

• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

• Ability to follow recipes and instructions.

• Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed.

• Food Handler Certification preferred.

Schedule Requirements

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and busy restaurant shifts.

• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
