Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:15 PM - 2:45 AM

Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Position Summary:

The Laser Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to ensure efficient and accurate production. This position works closely with the Laser Programmer to coordinate production schedules, optimize machine performance, and maintain quality standards. Additional warehouse and material processing duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on laser machine operation experience, including setup, cutting, and basic troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of laser cutting processes, including nozzle changes, lens cleaning, and parameter adjustments.
• Forklift experience highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and digital part files.
• Basic computer skills, including loading, editing, and managing CNC/laser programs.
• Proficiency using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and related instruments.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Essential Job Functions:

• Load and unload materials from the automatic loader using a forklift.
• Clean lenses, align components, and change nozzles as needed.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Load, edit, and delete laser programs as needed.
• Measure parts using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, radius gauges, squares, and protractors.
• Read blueprints and digital files to verify parts meet customer specifications.
• Adjust machine parameters to maintain optimal cutting quality.
• Complete material-handling and production paperwork accurately, including required documentation in Metalware.
• Complete inspection records and daily laser logs accurately.
• Perform general laser machine maintenance and cleaning as assigned.
• Identify and maintain material traceability, including properly labeling and putting away remnant materials daily.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient work area.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.
