Pay: $18.82 per hour
Shift: 3rd Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Job Summary

Operate a cladding line that coats steel wire with aluminum. Monitor material as it passes through a tip and die combination, cooling trough, and onto a take-up reel for further processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Read work orders in English and verify production requirements.

• Set up, operate, and monitor the cladding line according to established procedures after training.

• Complete run sheets, reel tags, production notes, and daily production records accurately.

• Inspect wire quality using micrometers, calipers, visual checks, and other methods taught during training.

• Use industrial tools, hot and cold welding equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, hand tools, and push-button controls as trained and authorized.

• Handle reels and secure and label finished reels for transfer to the next work area.

• Remove short lengths and scrap materials as required.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.

• Report equipment problems and quality concerns to a supervisor.

• Assist maintenance personnel with minor, routine maintenance as assigned.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.

• Ability to read work orders and complete production records in English.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use measuring instruments and hand tools.

• Attention to detail and ability to follow operating and safety procedures.

Experience Required

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Education Requirements

Eighth-grade-level math, reading, and writing skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to handle reels, bend, reach extensively, and walk or stand for approximately 5–8 hours per shift, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.

Equipment Used

Cladding line, tip and die assemblies, cooling trough, take-up reels, micrometers, calipers, welding equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and hand tools.

Expected Results

Produce wire that meets work order specifications, maintain accurate production records, properly secure and label reels, and keep the work area safe and clean.
