Additional Availability: On-call after hours and weekends

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs for residential properties. The ideal candidate will be HVAC-licensed, however it is not mandatory to be considered. Other abilities include knowing how to make basic electrical and plumbing repairs, general maintenance experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of property maintenance issues.

An HVAC-license is preferred. Candidates with HVAC troubleshooting experience will receive additional consideration.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks and replacing garbage disposals.

• Complete basic electrical repairs, including troubleshooting and replacing light fixtures.

• Perform general maintenance, including painting and patching drywall.

• Shampoo carpets and complete cleaning tasks in vacated rental units.

• Prepare vacant units for new tenants.

• Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, including picking up trash and debris.

• Troubleshoot HVAC issues involving furnaces and air conditioning systems.

• Respond to after-hours and weekend maintenance calls as needed.

• Perform other general property maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• General maintenance or apartment maintenance experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs.

• HVAC knowledge and troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.

• HVAC license is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot maintenance issues.

• Dependable, reliable, and responsive to after-hours maintenance needs.

Note: Lawn care, snow removal, and exterior painting are handled by outside contractors and are not part of this position's regular responsibilities.

Compensation

Pay is based on experience and qualifications:

• Unlicensed candidates: $20–$22 per hour.

• HVAC-licensed candidates: Starting pay up to $26 per hour.
