CNC Laser Programmer

Located in Canon City, CO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and edit CNC laser programs using computer-based nesting software.

• Nest and arrange parts on sheets of steel according to production specifications.

• Optimize material usage to reduce scrap and minimize waste.

• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.

• Verify part dimensions, layouts, and cutting specifications before production.

• Communicate with machine operators and production personnel to ensure accurate job completion.

• Troubleshoot programming or nesting issues as needed.

• Maintain production schedules and meet required deadlines.

• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous CNC laser programming or nesting experience preferred.

• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and laser cutting processes.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Experience with CAD/CAM or CNC nesting software.

• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

• Good math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
