Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Overtime & Weekends: Required as needed

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Bossier City, LA. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and production machinery.
• Diagnose issues involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Dismantle equipment and replace or repair defective components.
• Install and maintain motors, conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Lubricate, clean, and adjust machinery for optimal performance.
• Test equipment following maintenance and repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Assist with maintenance planning, documentation, parts inventory, and work orders.
• Communicate maintenance concerns and equipment status with supervisors and production personnel.
• Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform additional maintenance and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Trade school certificate or equivalent mechanical training preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and work instructions.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, vibration, dust, and outdoor conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
