Salary: $30-35 per hour (DOE)
Pflugerville area company is looking to hire TIG Welders ASAP. Build ultra-high precision components used in cutting-edge industries like semiconductors, aerospace, and research!
TIG Weld & Fabricate: Perform manual TIG welding, port alignment, scribing, cutting/coping, tacking, and tuning on custom stainless steel vacuum chambers and components.
Hit Tight Tolerances: Produce vacuum-tight welds and braze different materials while holding strict target points and angular tolerances.
Target Point Setup: Identify the proper order of operations and set up/use target point fixtures.
Collaborate: Work closely with machinists and engineering teams throughout each manufacturing phase.
Experience: Experience/training with a strong background in stainless steel metallurgy, filler rod selection, GD&T, and blueprints.
Education: Associate's degree or certification from a welding training program.
Skills: Strong blueprint reading, solid geometry/trigonometry skills, ability to weld in hard-to-reach areas, and a team-first mindset.
Active shop environment around moving mechanical parts.
Regular standing, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 25 lbs (frequently up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs).
