Position Summary

The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and supplies essential for production. This role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier relationship management, and hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and supplies.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance metrics.
• Evaluate cost, quality, and delivery performance to ensure reliability.
• Utilize MRP/ERP systems to track demand and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and inventory control teams to meet operational goals.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternate suppliers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial purchasing experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on MRP/ERP system experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial components, supplier markets, and sourcing strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
