Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic!

We are looking for a skilled, dependable mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship and has strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently on a variety of heavy equipment, diesel engines, small engines, and related machinery.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and diesel engines.

• Identify and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.

• Perform routine maintenance, service, and equipment repairs.

• Use diagnostic tools to identify equipment malfunctions.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.

• Follow manufacturer specifications and workplace safety procedures.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment.

• Communicate repair updates and concerns through shop management.

• Assist team members as needed to ensure efficient shop operations.

Job Requirements

• Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment.

• Ability to independently diagnose and complete complex repairs.

• Experience troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.

• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.

• Ability to safely operate equipment, forklifts, and company vehicles.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety.

• Ability to work in shop environments, outdoors, confined spaces, and elevated areas.

• Ability to lift and maneuver parts weighing 50–75 lbs., with assistance for heavier items.

• Willingness to travel to job sites or customer locations when required.

• Availability for occasional weekend or holiday on-call work as needed.
