Part-Time Retail Sales Clerk
Location: In-Store
Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends
Hours
- Typical shifts: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Some Saturday daytime hours required
- Approximately 15 hours per week during busy seasons
- Approximately 3-5 hours per week during slower seasons

We are currently looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Retail Sales Clerk to join our team. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming shopping experience while helping maintain an organized, well-stocked store.
No prior wine or spirits knowledge is required. We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow their product knowledge over time.
Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Answer customer questions and offer product assistance
- Process purchases accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system
- Create a positive shopping experience for every customer
Merchandising & Stocking
- Receive and unpack deliveries
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays
- Maintain organized, attractive product presentations
- Ensure pricing and product labels are accurate
Store Maintenance
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep throughout the store
- Dust bottles and shelves
- Sweep floors and maintain clean customer and checkout areas
- Help keep the shop professional and inviting
Product Knowledge
- Participate in training opportunities
- Learn about wine, spirits, and specialty products
- Develop the ability to assist customers with product selections and recommendations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for shifts of up to 6 hours
- Ability to regularly lift and move cases weighing 40-50 pounds
- Comfortable with repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, and stocking activities
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience is helpful but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Available to work evenings and weekends

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in keeping a store clean and organized, and is willing to learn about the products we carry. Reliability, customer service skills, and a strong work ethic are more important than previous wine knowledge.
