Production Machine Operator

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and dependable Machine Operator for a food manufacturing and packaging facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience operating high-speed packaging equipment who is looking for a position with long-term potential.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous machine operating experience, preferably within a food manufacturing or production environment. This individual must be comfortable operating production equipment independently, monitoring product quality, performing basic line changeovers, and maintaining accurate production documentation.

 

Machine operation experience is required. At least two years of food manufacturing experience is preferred, but candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and attention to detail will also be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Independently operate and monitor high-speed production line and packaging equipment.

• Operate and make adjustments to date coders, labeling machines, and other packaging equipment.

• Assist with production line changeovers, equipment setups, and adjustments as needed.

• Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality, packaging, and food safety standards.

• Verify proper packaging, date coding, labeling, and pallet configurations for finished shipments.

• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, product defects, and food quality or safety concerns.

• Complete all required HACCP, quality control, and production documentation accurately.

• Maintain a clean and organized production area, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down machinery throughout and at the end of each shift.

• Monitor the facility and follow established security and safety procedures.

• Follow all company safety policies and immediately report potential hazards or unsafe conditions.

• Assist other departments and production team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience is required.

• Experience operating high-speed packaging equipment strongly preferred.

• Two or more years of food manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality or production issues.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with equipment setups and changeovers.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete production paperwork accurately.

• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures is a plus.

• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Compensation & Opportunity

• Pay Rate: $18.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience.
