*TIG Welder

Salary: $28-34/hr

Position Overview:
As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. You will work with various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium, to fabricate components and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.

 

Pay Rate: $25-34/hr (day shift)

 

Responsibilities:

Perform TIG welding operations to join metal parts with precision and accuracy.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques, materials, and settings.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and machining as necessary.
Monitor welding processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Conduct visual inspections of welds to detect defects and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production deadlines and quality targets.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Proficiency in TIG welding techniques and processes, with the ability to produce high-quality welds on various metals.
Strong understanding of welding principles, metallurgy, and metal fabrication methods.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Knowledge of welding equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards safety and continuous improvement.
Welding certification(s) preferred but not required.
