Robotics Engineer (Bilingual Chinese/English) $110K-135K/YR

 

Our client, a manufacturer of energy equipment and components in the Conroe, Texas area, is seeking a Robotics Engineer to join its team. In this hands-on role, you will design, implement, and support the robotic automation systems that improve safety, quality, and productivity on the manufacturing floor. Because the role involves close collaboration with Chinese-speaking colleagues and partners, fluency in Chinese and English is essential.

 

Responsibilities

• Design, program, test, and commission industrial robotic systems
• Develop robot programs using FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, or Universal Robots platforms
• Configure end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), vision systems, sensors, and peripheral equipment
• Optimize robot cycle times and troubleshoot robotic systems
• Collaborate with Controls Engineers to integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, conveyors, and safety systems
• Provide production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
• Manage small-to-medium automation projects and coordinate with suppliers

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in Chinese and English (spoken and written)
• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• 3 to 7 years of industrial robotics experience, including implementation of industrial robotic systems
• Experience with industrial robot programming, PLC integration, and industrial networking
• Background in manufacturing support
• Project management experience
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in energy equipment or heavy manufacturing
• Robotic welding, machine vision, collaborative robots, or offline simulation software
• SprutCAM experience
• Python or C# programming experience
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• Formal project management experience
