Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and mechanically inclined Shop Helper with plumbing experience to assist with daily shop operations, equipment maintenance, inventory organization, and general plumbing-related tasks.

The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience working with plumbing materials, fittings, pipes, tools, and equipment. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, understands basic plumbing systems, and can help keep a busy shop running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily shop operations, organization, and general maintenance.

• Identify, organize, and maintain plumbing supplies, pipes, fittings, valves, and equipment.

• Prepare tools, parts, and materials needed for plumbing projects and service calls.

• Assist with basic plumbing repairs, equipment assembly, and troubleshooting as needed.

• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.

• Receive deliveries, stock inventory, and maintain organized storage areas.

• Inspect tools and equipment for damage or maintenance needs.

• Assist plumbing technicians and other team members with projects.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.

• Perform additional general labor and shop support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous plumbing experience required.

• Familiarity with plumbing tools, materials, fittings, and basic plumbing systems.

• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.

• Experience working in a shop, warehouse, plumbing, or construction environment preferred.

• Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and moving materials.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with plumbing supply houses or plumbing warehouse operations.

• Knowledge of PVC, CPVC, copper, PEX, valves, and plumbing fittings.

• Forklift operation experience is a plus.

• Previous experience preparing materials for plumbing installations or service calls.

• Experience assisting with equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
