Q/A Technician

Pay: $18.00+/hr.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift

Job Description: We are currently looking for a qualified Q/A Technician for a company located in Orangeburg, SC 

Responsibilities:

•    Strong knowledge of Sanitation practices, working with the sanitation team to ensure plant pre-op inspection compliance.
•    Collect samples and assists with completion of tasks in the QA Microbiology and Chemistry Lab.
•    Assist in food safety (CFIA, 3rd Party and customer) audits and mock recalls.
•    Performs general lab procedures and other designated QA task, as needed.
•    Maintain and update daily QA and plant reports; ensure accuracy and correctness of data
•    Work closely with QA Manager and plant management on special projects.
•    Perform other duties assigned or required by QA/QC Manager.
•    Routine QA Duties:
•    Perform daily operational checks; verification of pre-operational checks, chemical concentration checks and conducts sanitation audits
•    Perform CCP verifications e.g. metal detector checks
•    Perform Thermometer Calibration, Light Intensity Checks, Monthly Glass/Brittle Plastic Monitoring; Monthly GMP Audits
•    Perform finished product quality checks and collecting retention samples
•    Perform incoming product quality checks

Qualifications:

•    Minimum of 1 year in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control activities within a food processing industry
•    Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook, etc).

•    Basic knowledge in GMPs and HACCP System preferred.
•    Experience in a food processing facility is an asset.
•    Bilingual Spanish/English
