Tire Technician

Full-Time $14/Hr. Starting Pay DOE | New Iberia, LA

 

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Tire Technician to join a growing team in New Iberia, LA. This position is responsible for mounting, balancing, repairing, and maintaining tires while providing quality customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires and wheels.

• Inspect tires for damage, wear, and safety concerns.

• Perform tire rotations and check tire pressure.

• Reset tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).

• Operate tire-changing equipment and tools safely.

• Inspect brakes and other vehicle components as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Assist with roadside service calls when needed.

• Provide professional and friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous tire service or automotive experience preferred.

• Knowledge of tire maintenance, repair, and balancing.

• Ability to operate tire-changing equipment and tools.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work occasional weekends as needed.

Schedule & Pay

• Pay: Starting at $14/hr., depending on experience.

• Schedule: Typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

• Hours may vary depending on customer demand.

• Opportunities for Saturday and Sunday work supporting local cane farmers and the roadside service crew.
