Position Summary

The Shipping Manager is responsible for overseeing all shipping, receiving, and distribution activities within our manufacturing facility. This role ensures products are shipped accurately, on time, and in accordance with company and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Coordinate and schedule outgoing shipments with carriers and customers.
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee cycle counts as needed.
• Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Lead, train, and support shipping and warehouse personnel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and shipping procedures.
• Work closely with production, customer service, and management teams to meet delivery deadlines.
• Handle shipping documentation, bills of lading, and carrier communications.
• Track shipments and resolve delivery issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse management, or manufacturing operations.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management and shipping software.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of freight, LTL, and shipping regulations is a plus.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
