Chauffeur Delivery Driver – East Baton Rouge Parish

Full-Time – Evaluation Hire

$18/hr

Monday – Friday, 5 a.m.- 3 p.m

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Chauffeur Delivery Driver for a paper product distributor in East Baton Rouge Parish. It is this client's goal to lead the food packaging, janitorial, and sanitary maintenance industries. The position requires a lot of physical labor in a warehouse environment. 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Chauffeur Delivery Driver:  

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles in accordance with all DOT, state, and local regulations.
• Deliver paper products and related supplies to customer locations accurately and on schedule.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload deliveries while preventing product damage.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
• Verify delivery paperwork, invoices, and customer signatures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively to customers.
• Assist in warehouse operations, loading trucks, inventory handling, and general housekeeping as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES NEEDED:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

• Valid Louisiana Chauffeur's License
• Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Previous delivery driving, route driving, warehouse, or logistics experience.
• Must have 3 or more years of verifiable delivery driver experience.

• Comfortable working independently and managing daily delivery routes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
