This hands-on position involves operating extrusion equipment, monitoring product quality, making machine adjustments, and keeping production running smoothly. Manufacturing experience is preferred, especially for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy working with machinery and learning new skills.

1st Shift

• Monday–Thursday

• 3:30 AM – 2:00 PM

• $20.00/hour

2nd Shift

• Monday–Thursday

• 2:15 PM – 1:00 AM

• $20.30/hour

Overtime opportunities available on Fridays!

?? JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Extrusion Technician, you will help ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining product quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate extrusion machinery: Set up, monitor, and operate extrusion equipment according to production instructions and procedures.

• Monitor product quality: Inspect finished products and use measuring tools, including pin gauges, to verify that products meet specifications.

• Make machine adjustments: Adjust equipment settings, including temperature profiles and other process variables, to maintain product quality and consistency.

• Perform equipment changeovers: Change out screens, prepare tooling, and make necessary adjustments when switching between production runs.

• Troubleshoot production issues: Identify problems with equipment or product quality and make appropriate adjustments to keep production moving.

• Monitor production processes: Track production information, document results, and complete required paperwork and quality records.

• Maintain materials and supplies: Ensure the correct materials are available and properly loaded for production, following established procedures.

• Follow safety procedures: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all workplace safety policies and manufacturing standards.

• Work with production equipment: Learn to operate and understand auxiliary equipment used throughout the extrusion process.

• Support continuous improvement: Help reduce waste, maintain consistent production quality, and contribute to an efficient manufacturing environment.

? WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Ideal candidates will have:

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in working with machinery.

• The ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Good attention to detail when inspecting products and monitoring quality.

• Basic math skills and the ability to perform measurements.

• The ability to identify problems and make appropriate adjustments.

• A willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and responsibilities.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work with a team.

• A dependable attitude and commitment to workplace safety.

• The ability to handle physical job duties, including lifting up to 75 pounds when required.

Potential pay after advancement:

• 1st Shift: $24.00/hour

• 2nd Shift: $24.30/hour
