Location: Muskego, WI

Shift: Mon-Fri (7am-3:30pm) *Extended hours may be required during peak periods

Pay Rate: $60-$80k per year (DOE)

Description: This position supports structural steel fabrication by preparing material orders, reviewing production files, coordinating purchasing activities, and maintaining workflow between detailing, purchasing, project management, and the fabrication shop. Accuracy, organization, urgency, and attention to detail are critical, as material orders and production files directly impact fabrication costs and project schedules. Solicit pricing from multiple vendors. Evaluate vendor quotations for accuracy and completeness. Negotiate to obtain competitive material pricing. Release purchase orders and track materials through delivery. Coordinate material requirements with project schedules and production needs

 

Required: Minimum 2 years of relevant structural steel, fabrication, purchasing, material coordination, or closely related experience

Strong spreadsheet skills for nesting, tracking, and organization

Familiarity with CNC / beam-processing files, including .nc1 files

Understanding of structural steel fabrication processes

Experience soliciting vendor pricing and negotiating material costs

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Clear and professional communication skills
