Cabinet Maker / Trim Carpenter

Location: Marietta, GA
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker / Trim Carpenter to join a family-owned manufacturing business in Marietta. This position involves cutting and preparing parts, edge banding, assembling cabinets, installing cabinet components, and performing a variety of light carpentry and fabrication tasks.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in cabinetmaking, furniture making, woodworking, or finish carpentry. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well in a hands-on production environment, and can contribute to a team while continuing to develop their skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Cut, measure, and prepare materials and parts for cabinet and fixture production.
• Operate an edge-banding machine to finish cabinet edges.
• Assemble cabinets and store fixtures.
• Install cabinet components, including drawer boxes, doors, drawer fronts, and other hardware.
• Fabricate custom wood pieces, trim, and cabinet components.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and measurements.
• Safely operate woodworking equipment, including table saws, miter saws, routers, sanders, nail guns, and other hand and power tools.
• Assist with cabinet finishing and other production tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work collaboratively with production and finishing team members to meet quality and production expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cabinetmaking, furniture making, trim carpentry, woodworking, or a similar hands-on role preferred.
• Experience with cutting materials, cabinet assembly, and woodworking tools.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate an edge-bander and other woodworking machinery.
• Ability to read a tape measure and ruler accurately, including working with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn new skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
