Marine & Powersports Technician

Motorsports Mechanic

Located in: Halfmoon, NY

Pay: $20.00 - $35+ per hour, depending on experience

 

Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals of Albany, NY has teamed up with a motor sports and marine dealership to help them find experienced Technicians and Apprentice Technicians. This hands-on role involves diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and assembling boats and motor sports vehicles. Opportunities are available for experienced mechanics and mechanically inclined candidates interested in developing their skills.

 

Pay Rate:

• $20.00 - $35+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

 

Work Schedule:

• Full-time

• In person in Halfmoon, NY

• Specific hours to be discussed during the interview

 

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on boats and motor sports vehicles

• Perform routine maintenance and service to support safe, reliable operation

• Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify problems and determine appropriate repairs

• Inspect components and completed repairs for proper operation

• Use hand tools, power tools, and service equipment safely

• Complete service work efficiently and maintain quality standards

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Work with the service team to support customer needs and timely repairs

• Follow dealership procedures and established safety practices

 

Experience Required:

• Previous mechanical maintenance or repair experience preferred

• Marine, motor sports, powersports, or automotive service experience is helpful

• Dealership experience preferred for experienced technician positions

• Experience diagnosing mechanical issues and assembling or disassembling components is a plus

• Apprentice opportunities are available; qualifications will be evaluated based on the position

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable performing hands-on mechanical work

• Able to stand, bend, and reach while servicing equipment

• Able to handle tools and vehicle components

• Specific lifting requirements and additional physical demands will be reviewed during the interview
