Manual Machinist

Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Manual Machinist position for a Tyler, TX area company! We are a full-service staffing firm working with companies in East Texas offering full-time, part-time, and temporary opportunities. In this role, you will:

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders to machine precision parts.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, samples, and work instructions.

• Plan machining sequences and measure, mark, cut, and shape materials according to specifications.

• Adjust machine speeds, feeds, and tooling to ensure accurate machining.

• Monitor equipment during operation and make necessary adjustments.

• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.

• Identify defective parts and maintain accurate quality control records.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Previous experience operating manual machining equipment.

• Strong knowledge of manual lathes, mills, and grinders.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications.

• Experience setting up machines and adjusting speeds, feeds, and cutting tools.

• Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring equipment.

• Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to work independently and produce parts within required tolerances.

• Excellent attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to quality and safety.
