Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Maintenance Technician position for a Tyler, TX area company! We are a full-service staffing firm working with companies in East Texas offering full-time, part-time, and temporary opportunities. In this role, you will:

• Perform general mechanical and electrical maintenance on facility systems, machinery, and equipment.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical distribution systems, HVAC equipment, plumbing, and mechanical components.

• Perform pipefitting, welding, cutting, and metal fabrication as needed.

• Utilize rigging equipment to safely move, position, and install machinery and equipment.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records using computerized work order systems.

• Perform ISO-related inspections and checks while following company safety and quality standards.

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Previous experience in industrial or facilities maintenance.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, and pipefitting.

• Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment repairs.

• Familiarity with rigging equipment and forklift maintenance.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Strong mathematical skills and experience using computerized maintenance work order systems.

• Understanding of preventative maintenance procedures and ISO quality standards.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and troubleshoot equipment issues.

• Dependability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
