Mechanical Engineer - Morrison, TN

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for an opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a hands-on manufacturing and engineering environment? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Morrison, TN. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems while collaborating with production and fabrication teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using 3D CAD software.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Work closely with manufacturing, fabrication, and production teams to ensure designs are practical and efficient.
• Assist with the design and improvement of material handling equipment, hoists, cranes, and related systems.
• Support projects involving pneumatics, machining, welding, and mechanical fabrication.
• Evaluate existing designs and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Participate in project planning, prototyping, testing, and implementation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience using 3D CAD design software.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following:
  • AutoCAD (preferred)
  • Autodesk Inventor (preferred)
  • SolidWorks
  • Creo
  • CATIA
• Strong mechanical design and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge or experience with one or more of the following:
  • Hoists and cranes
  • Material handling systems
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Machining processes
  • Welding and fabrication
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, fabrication, or material handling environments.
• Experience supporting projects from concept through production.
• Understanding of structural and mechanical systems design.
