Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Field Service Technician position for a Tyler, TX area company! We are a full-service staffing firm working with companies in East Texas offering full-time, part-time, and temporary opportunities. While we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!

In this role, you will:

• Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and repairs on light- and heavy-duty diesel equipment in a mobile/field environment.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, cooling systems, and other mechanical components.

• Service starters, alternators, air conditioning systems, clutches, differentials, power steering, and engine electronics.

• Use diagnostic tools, handheld computers, and pressure gauges to identify mechanical issues.

• Complete DOT inspection forms, service reports, and repair documentation accurately and promptly.

• Document completed repairs, parts used, and findings through detailed notes and photographs.

• Maintain service truck equipment, tools, and parts inventory.

• Independently manage daily service schedules while maintaining productivity and quality.

• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors.

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

• Previous experience performing diesel maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light- and heavy-duty equipment.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical components.

• Experience performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.

• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and computerized testing tools.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a mobile service schedule.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate service records.

• Dependability, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills.
