The Cook will be responsible for preparing meals, following recipes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods according to recipes and production guidelines.
• Set up workstations with the necessary ingredients and kitchen equipment.
• Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Safely use kitchen utensils and equipment, including knives, ovens, stoves, mixers, slicers, and other food preparation tools.
• Utilize various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, grilling, and steaming.
• Ensure proper food presentation, portioning, and quality standards are maintained.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work effectively with team members and customers.
• Adhere to all workplace safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook or in a related food service role required.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
• Ability to obtain or possess a Food Safety Certification.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and walking throughout the shift.
