Shipper/Receiver

A leading Canadian company with operations nationwide is currently looking for a reliable and motivated Shipper/Receiver to become part of their team in Ottawa’s west end.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse, yard, or material handling role
• Forklift certification and/or previous forklift operating experience is considered an asset
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• Comfortable working primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work to load/unload trucks and assist customers
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Physically capable of lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs
• Strong verbal communication skills in English; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
• Reliable, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Operate a forklift to safely load, unload, and move materials and products
• Receive, stock, and organize inventory within the warehouse and yard
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders according to order requirements
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with product inquiries and order pickups
• Frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Conduct routine inventory checks and report discrepancies as needed
• Perform other warehouse and yard duties as assigned

Wage: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm
